Globally, we consume around 50% more in natural resource than the planet can cope with. The One Planet Living framework help us to challenge this and supports the development of thriving communities where we meet more of our needs from local, renewable and waste resources, enabling people to live happy, healthy lives within the natural limits of the planet, leaving space for wildlife and wilderness.
Hanover Action have coordinated the development of an Action Plan for One Planet Living in Hanover & Elm Grove. With short, medium and long-term planning, this will help promote and enable sustainable living, with the engagement of everyone in the local area who can contribute ideas and resources, to improve our community for the benefit of all.
The Hanover Action One Planet Living action plan has been adopted by the Forum, and the proposals and actions within it will underpin and inform our work around local sustainability and should be considered in all areas of the Neighbourhood Action Plan.
