About the Forum
In 2018, the Hanover & Elm Grove community agreed a Neighbourhood Action Plan (NAP) with the council to identify our ideas and ambitions for our area. From this, a ‘Local Action Team’ developed to take the NAP forward, before finally this became the Communities Forum – a community-led umbrella organisation bringing local groups, projects, representatives, residents, and workers together.
The Communities Forum meets monthly on the 2nd Thursday of the month. Typically, meetings take place at 6:30pm at the Phoenix Community Centre (with online hybrid attendance available), but we aim to look at rotating venues more often in the future.
Alongside meetings, we continue to lead local campaigns and hold a key aim to be able to offer funding opportunities to local groups in the future.
